有英语语言问题的网友到这边来。。。

I would like to work with anyone who has questions of English language ONLY, vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, parts of speech, translation, etc. in a very easy conversational manner to get to know each other as friends. We can actually start with English and/or possible Chinese depending on the way s/he likes it and the time spent in the forum.

AGAIN, I love Old Beijing....

我很乐意用很轻松的交流方式与任何在英语语言学习上的问题与大家一起共勉,比如词汇、句型、语法、词性和翻译等,这样大家交个朋友,以笔会友。英语交流或是北京话您随心所欲,不要顾及,主要看我们各自论坛参与的时间配合了。

我太喜欢老北京了。。。

Ido not think, from my perspective, that you need an expert at all. YOU are by no means (决非一般)a man out of work, but more of an expert to everyone here. Your research and interest in this particular area of study are surprisingly good for further approach and exposure to professors at college level but me.

However, in terms of English language, I do not think they are any match with our classical Chinese. But they do have certain senses, internation, pitch and follow different rhyme schemes when needed in making poems of various kinds. Unfortunately, I am no expert on that particular area of study. But....

Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful experience of yours. I did wish I could be of any help to you.

Awaiting more of your other experience.

老粗斗胆问一题
请问从语言学角度分析,英语时位与汉语的调位在各自的文学艺术表现形式上有什么特点?
This is a foreign language forum. Since you are soooooo professional in language study, as well as art and literature, would you mind putting THE question in English to help me and other experts understand the question better?

And do you think your question will help other people to come join us or scare them away? Would this also glorify Old Beijing ? Or you would start it in another 板块?I am not an English expert myself, however, I'd be glad to see the question in English version correctly。Meanwhile,I would be more than happy to see some of your profound examples over which we can talk.

By the way, I am NOT a linguist being good at art and literature at the same time. You might as well enlight me more to get me into this area, however again, please express yourself fully in English. I am a fast learner.

Also by the way, I have made myself crystal-clear for my particular topic areas on the 1st floor.

Be very willing to see your examples. Show an article in English and one in Chinese to me, and mark your question before we are able to compare together.

I enjoyed so much of you guys "talking" and learned a lot from both of you. English & Chinese.
Thanks!
Please join us for some fun in English practice, even in Chinese.
Okey, plse let me know how.......... 望指点迷津 呵呵,to be frank, I am not an expert in poet and poem. 今天突然想听听中文或英文诗歌,那位大侠提供几首当代中英文的诗歌,特别是抒情的??感激在先。。 华兹华斯的可以看看那 I can't get hold some of them. Can someone help?斑竹兄弟姐妹们。。。。Where are your guys, the school even started already, truly "Vanished"? Are your vacations over yet?
国内学习英语的方法大部分仍是应试型的教学方法,刚看到一个题,我觉得颇有意思。It somehow took me quite a while to get it correct. I do need some help on it. However,it might be so easy for you but puzzles me.

请就划线部分提问:

The men behind him and other students are his math and science teachers.

QUOTE:

以下是引用靳京在2010-11-7 22:52:00的发言:

Which men are his math and science teachers? 这么问对么?

"就划线部分提问": 总感觉划线部分是要对“位置”进行提问似的 (behind)

而Which men 是针对“人”提问的:The men behind him and other students are his math and science teachers. 好像还没转过弯儿来。

Please advise!

Where are the men who are his math and science teachers? 似乎这样才跟位置有关。

回答就是:behind him and other students.

简单的一个问题,英语应该如何回答?

“What's up?" What does this question mean to you and how do you answer it in a correct way?

“What's up ?”这个问题是在问什么,怎么回答才是正确的?
it can be understood as "How is it going?" or "How are you?"
Good, anyone has an opinion different from the above. How do we translate and respond in both Chinese and English?

很好,有人有与上面不同的建议吗?那么如何用两种语言翻译和回答呢?
The anwser to this question is "Not much", "Not very much", "Not that much". .......就是这个问题的回答。
