西单“民主墙”至少有6-7张照片,怕太敏感,只贴了一张侧面的。事隔30多年了,已渐渐被人淡忘了吧。。。。。。

那时民主墙可以公开使用。不用实名制。不用害怕被跨省。

The Cultural Revolution has been banned even for discussion of any kind for so long that most of the post-80s and 90s know nothing about the terrible 10 years that had led China fall way behind the global economy plus the political crises. Those pictures taken have shown the scenes right after the Revolution but still have some leftovers of the terrible 10 years.

However, there should be something that everyone has some good memories about the places and people's lives all over the country, which were quite different from those of current life.

Here are some of the pictures taken after 1970s till 80s up.

These activities have started ever since 1970s till even today. Great ideas for the people in their great golden years.

When did the China Daily ever start publishing, 1978-79 and/or ealier?

China began to open up to the outside world, a big comparison with Mao's statue right behind the scene. What a great turning point!

Was this part of 1980s?

XiDan Lu Kou 70s? 70年代西单路口?

Some of the pictures look kind of stupid today but they were very true at the time of so-called PCR. The young lady up here presented herself in a dance fashion that she should follow tightly with Chairman Mao to show off her revolutionary decission so she would stay away from any trouble in PCR. However, the study on the Revolution has been banned for no reasons, which makes the pictures even funnier to most post-80s and 90s. Well, just for fun for now. There are NO hows and whys. No state affairs, either!

21楼我们已经说的是70s till 80s up.这个UP在英语语法上是个没边儿没沿儿的词(7-80年代以上)。。。。另外重在欣赏和回味吗。感谢您关顾“外国语论坛”,也欢迎其他语种的同仁们。。。。。

However, have you guys ever heard the story about the oil painting "Chairman Mao to AnYuan"?

1st of all, I have to clarify myself that the picture itself was published and sold through XinHua Bookstores in 1968 originally. I remenber the days when I was a 2nd grader at elementary school as we 1st had the picture for free. At the moment, the army guy (not a soldier but Gong1 Xuan1 Dui4)told us if we made the picture a role and put either end to the ear, we would have heard someone shouting "Long Live Chairman Mao"! Therefore, so many kids did and said they heard it. I repeated the same as they did but heard nothing but some air blowing. I told the military guy the true story. However, to fulfill his own purpose, he told me, "Even though you didn't hear it, you have to tell other people you did to be more politically correct, okay?" I had to say nothing but YES. What a funny and stupid story even to share with people today. Anyway, I still keep one original picture with me today.

Can you understand the story and share your thoughts? Or why does the story sound so stupid now and then? We got to learn something from it.

谁能分享一下这个真实的故事,或者说说无论当时还是现在,它是如此地荒谬绝伦?

Have a good day!
